A few days after my dad's funeral the pastor of a supporting church here in town called... he wanted to know if they could take us out to lunch. Sure! He also mentioned that the church wanted to help us out with our expenses. Great! He asked if I happened to know what the final price of the plane tickets was and I told him I didn't have an exact amount but told him what I thought it would be...

We had no expectations or idea how much the church would give, we were happy with any help at all. However, when they gave us the check over lunch the pastor said that they wanted to pay for the tickets! He told us that he had been praying about how much they should give and God impressed upon him the exact figure I had stated. He said that was all the confirmation he needed!

The reason I didn't know the exact amount is because we used an Australian-based travel agent. That means there are conversion rates to consider. I just checked online and I actually estimated it would cost $600 less than it did. Additionally, there are many expenses besides plane tickets associated with traveling half-way around the world. However, God is providing! A couple gifts have already been given and others have been promised! God is incredible... through the hands of His servants He is giving us everything we need!
