A Two-and-a-Half-Month Sprint! Print E-mail
Thursday, 14 March 2013

There are times in a race - even an endurance race - that you just have to kick it into gear and go! For us, the last eleven weeks have been a sprint during a race that started last September and won't end until we step on a plane bound for Papua New Guinea. Since the last week of December we have presented the work God is doing in PNG fifteen times in churches between eight and 1,300 miles away. Now we get to cruise, if only for a little while...

We began to decelerate a couple weeks ago while we were still away from home. We had a week between meetings and some friends who run a small ski area in Wisconsin (The Whitecap Mountains) put us up for a week of relaxation and fun. Now that we are back, we have next week off (the pastor called and rescheduled), and then Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter we are involved at our home church. Come April we pick up the pace again for the home stretch. The course is long, but taking the checkered flag - which for us is returning to Papua New Guinea - is worth it all!
