While Michelle was working on some forms to register Alicia for school in Papua New Guinea, she came across some good news. From what we could remember, classes at the international school normally begin on a Wednesday in mid-July. Looking at the calendar, the 17th seemed to fit. But actually, it starts on the 24th. That meant we could schedule our departure a whole week later than we thought. So, we now have tickets to leave Dallas / Ft. Worth International Airport at 5:35 p.m. on Monday, July 8th....

Once we land in Los Angeles, we will have the typical five-hour layover making it around 2 a.m. central time when we finally leave. By the time we arrive in Brisbane, Australia, Tuesday afternoon our time, the clocks will have shifted 15 hours so the local time when we land will be 7 a.m. on Wednesday! We'll have three hours there to look for showers (they have them - we know!) and get on the plane headed to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. That last four-hour flight will be rough after being in transit for almost a day and a half, and that is actually the short route. Imagine that!

Prayer Point: Please pray for us as we look at flights from Port Moresby to Ukarumpa, where we will spend the next three years. The tickets to PNG cost us more than we had hoped so we are trying to find economical fares.
