A Ton of Stuff - Literally! |

Sometimes God provides beyond what you could hope for.
Over the last few weeks I have been working with CLTC to get some of our
household goods moved here to Ukarumpa as CLTC frequently drives trucks right
past here (well, six miles away). Because we didn't know how much to expect, I
arranged three small vehicles to carry everything, if they were needed. The
morning before we were to go to meet the CLTC truck at the breaking/broken
bridge (If you want to see a picture of it, go to our page on Facebook: Mundhenk's Ministry)
and carry everything across by hand, the administrative head of the institute
here gave me a call. He said that instead of trying to work out the logistics
and expense of using three vehicles, why not just use the training center truck;
it can carry everything all by itself. That was blessing number one....
On Wednesday morning I kept in touch by phone with the
truck from CLTC and we met them at the bridge. We knew there was quite a bit to
get across the bridge - about 2,200 pounds - but what we didn't know was that a
couple of the pieces were heavier than the number of people we had could carry.
Just as we started a group of young men came up and asked if they could help.
Normally they would expect something in return, which is only fair. But, they
asked for nothing in return! The stuff was heavy and there were gaps in the
bridge wide enough to drop a truck wheel into, but with their help we got
everything safety across. God's provision comes in many forms; sometimes it's a
truck and extra hands!
Prayer Point: We have one more load to
come but I will likely have to go and get it. Pray that I will be able to find
the most economical way to get it here and that the logistics with a vehicle
and the bridge would work out.
